The Seventh-day Adventist Church in Mato Grosso do Sul, Brazil, recently received the Connection Seal, granted by Hemosul, in recognition of the exemplary work carried out by the institution for more than 20 years. Through the Vida por Vidas (“Life for Lives”) project, the church has dedicated itself to blood donation throughout the state, promoting a culture of solidarity and contributing to saving lives.

Through partnerships with Hemosul, the agency responsible for blood collection and distribution in the state, Adventists have regularly organized donation campaigns in their congregations, schools, and local communities. The faithful are encouraged to actively participate in these campaigns, understanding that their contribution can save lives and bring hope to those facing challenging health conditions.

During the ceremony to hand over the certificates, representatives of the organization highlighted the essential role played by the denomination in raising awareness about the importance of blood and bone marrow donation. "The work that the church develops is very important for our community, as it allows us to have a crucial partner for all hours, not only in the capital, but in several cities in the region," says Marli Vavas, coordinator of the Hemosul MS Network.

The church's recognition in the state is proof of the positive, lasting impact of the Vida por Vidas for Lives project. "For more than two decades of social service dedicated to blood donation, the church has been a source of hope for those who need blood transfusions, as well as encouraging awareness and solidarity in the community," points out Rafael Felberg de Melo, Youth director for the South Mato Grosso Conference.

In addition to receiving the certificate, the Adventist Church was also honored during the ceremony as a way of thanking them for their contribution in Ponta Porã. The events were attended by local authorities, community members, and Hemosul representatives, providing a moment of celebration and recognition of the joint work in favor of the health and well-being of the population.
