Adventist Church in Brazil to hold special meeting to connect with those who no longer attend church.

An initiative carried out online seeks to dialogue with those who once attended meetings regularly.

You certainly know someone who was once a member of the Adventist Church and today no longer attends. Thinking of these individuals in particular, the Adventist Church in Brazil presented a live program for whom they dubbed, “friends who are away.” The online event took place Friday, May 15, with the participation of Pastor Luís Gonçalves and the quartet Arautos do Rei.

"It's Time to Go Back" was another event in the overarching campaign called “Reunion,” which started with 10 Days of Prayer in February. It was also preparation for another upcoming event, which will take place in November 2020.

“We want the church to get used to working for those who have been with us, but due to different reasons, today they are no longer worshiping with us,” emphasized Pastor Joni Roger Oliveira, leader of the project for eight South American countries. “We want to recover the good memories of the happy times they experienced in the church.”

Event organizers encourage those who missed the event to make a list of friends who could benefit from such an event, and then, with a loving message, invite them to watch the replay of the live program on  Facebook  or the official channel of the Adventist Church in Brazil on  YouTube.
