The Seventh-day Adventist Church in Argentina recently celebrated the reinauguration of the administrative headquarters of the Argentina Union Conference, located in a strategic position in the city of Vicente López, province of Buenos Aires.
The ceremony was attended by Ted Wilson, president of the Seventh-day Adventist Church General Conference headquarters, who was accompanied by national Adventist church leaders.
Darío Caviglione, president of the Adventist Church in Argentina, expressed his joy at the renovation of this space, which serves as the administrative house and coordination center for the Church throughout the country.
“We had the joy of receiving our leaders at the administrative headquarters of the Argentine Union, which is the house of the Church for the entire country and the place where a vision of action of the Church is generated and transmitted,” he said.

The event was also attended by ecclesiastical authorities such as Magdiel Pérez Schulz, assistant to the President at the GC; Stanley Arco, president of the South American Division; Edson Medeiros, treasurer of the SAD; and Bruno Raso, vice president of the SAD, among others.
Also present were administrators of Adventist institutions, such as Marcelo Cerdá, president of Alimentos Granix; Dr. Haroldo Steger, director of the Sanatorio Adventista del Plata; Gabriel Cesano, president of the Asociación Casa Editora Sudamericana; Dr. Gustavo Weiss, director of the Clínica Adventista Belgrano; Horacio Rizzo, dean of River Plate Univesity; and Gabriel Boleas, dean of the Instituto Superior Adventista de Misiones.

The presidents of the Associations and Missions (regional offices of the Church) that make up the Argentine Union also participated: Pastor Alejandro Brunelli, president of the Central Argentina Association; Pastor Javier Holm, president of the Northern Argentina Association; Pastor David Peralta, president of the Southern Argentina Association; Pastor Elvio Silvero, president of the Buenos Aires Association; Pastor Marcos Zalgado, president of the Central West Argentina Mission; Pastor Iván Rosales, president of the Northwest Argentina Mission; and Pastor Marcelo Coronel, president of the Northern Buenos Aires Mission.
Civil authorities also attended the celebration, including Mr. Agustín Caulo, Undersecretary of National Worship; Ms. María del Pilar Bosca Chillida, General Director of Worship of the Government of the City of Buenos Aires; Ms. Soledad Martínez, Mayor of Vicente López; and Ms. Laura Caramella, Coordinator of Worship of the Municipality of Vicente López. Meanwhile, Jorge Macri, former Mayor of Vicente López, also expressed his gratitude to the Adventist community through a message.

The original building had been open for more than four decades, but the growth of the Church made it clear that it needed modernization and expansion.
“We needed to not only update what we had, but also expand it to meet new needs,” explained Caviglione. “We are grateful to God for providing the means to make this possible and also to the support of the Church as a whole, the South American Division and the entire team.”
Wilson highlighted the importance of this renovated building as an instrument to strengthen the work of the Adventist Church in Argentina.
“This building must be a tool to better serve the entire Church and, therefore, the community. We thank God for having allowed this expansion to continue with our mission. We hope that each space here will contribute to a better service to people and to the expansion of the Adventist message,” he said.

The building's location at the intersection of two major thoroughfares, the Pan-American Highway and San Martin Avenue, makes it a point of reference for both the Adventist community and those who pass through the area.
"It is a visible place that is in some way at the heart of the Adventist community in this neighborhood, but it is also a testimony for all those who pass by here," said Caviglione.
Beyond its structural importance, the leader of the Church in Argentina stressed that the true relevance of this headquarters lies in its missionary purpose.
“Having a beautiful, spacious and modern building is important, but the most important thing is to be able to focus on the mission. We hope that this structure can be a means for the mission to be fulfilled more effectively,” he concluded.

The program continued in the evening with a special broadcast on the YouTube channel of the Adventist Church in Argentina, led by Wilson. From the church in Florida, which was also reopened, he gave a message to the entire country. During his speech, he stressed the importance of the new resources that the Church has at its disposal, always being a means to invite more people to know Jesus.

The reopening of the Argentina Union Conference headquarters marks a milestone in the history of the Adventist Church in the country, reaffirming its commitment to the community and its mission of service and evangelism.
