The members of the church in the town of Yeysk, Russia, met with Nelly Valerievna, head of the public association of parents of disabled children. This is an amazing and responsive woman who brings up a child with disabilities herself. The Yeysk community wanted to do something good to support such families.
As a result, we decided to prepare a small, festive meeting for members of the disabled society. Children and adolescents from the church prepared a program and also put on a puppet show, and all this was held in the community center. It turned out to be a very warm meeting. The children of church members quickly found a common language with their peers.
As a gift, all who came received Christian books for children and adults as well as gifts with sweets and fruits. I would like to note that church members went to the event with a desire to share warmth, but in return, they received an incredible expression of kindness and once again recognized that only human warmth gives meaning to every minute of life. Each person not only feels the need for kindness but also to share warmth with others. The Bible is clear about this: “Cast your bread upon the waters, for you will find it after many days” (Ecclesiastes 11:1, NKJV).
The plans of the Yeysk community include further cooperation and assistance in creating social network pages for the public organization to draw attention to the problems of families with special needs and children with disabilities.
