A new chapter in the 10,000 Toes Campaign has begun with the launch of 10,000 Toes Kitchen, a health-focused catering service designed to promote wellness through nutritious, plant-based meals. The service aims to reach both local communities and corporate spaces with food that supports better health outcomes.

The official launch took place in Fiji with the support of leaders and staff from the Trans-Pacific Union Mission (TPUM) of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, who gathered to celebrate the initiative’s potential to impact public health through diet and education.

Part of the broader 10,000 Toes Campaign, which works to combat non-communicable diseases (NCDs) such as diabetes in the South Pacific, the kitchen will cater for corporate events, wellness programs, and cooking demonstrations. Its goal is to deliver meals that not only taste good but also promote long-term health and healing.

At last week’s official launch.

“So many times we attend functions where the food offered is unhealthy and could contribute to lifestyle diseases,” said George Kwong, a regional ambassador for the 10,000 Toes Campaign, during the launch event. “We’re excited to introduce a catering initiative that teaches our people to cook healthy meals and allows them to share those skills with others.”

Kwong emphasized the community-driven nature of the initiative and its alignment with the mission of the Seventh-day Adventist Church to promote holistic health.

“Today is a very special day for us," he added. "[This] launch marks a new step in our journey to create health and wellness in our community.”

The 10,000 Toes Campaign is an initiative of the Adventist Church in the South Pacific and has been active since 2017, fighting against lifestyle diseases in the region through health screenings, education, and advocacy.
