With the commitment to honor life in a comprehensive way, following biblical principles, from April 9 to 11, 2024, the Asunción Adventist Sanatorium (Sanatorio Adventista de Asunción) in Panama held a free workshop that focused on recovering mental health. The talks were held in the auditorium of the same institution and were aimed at patients and the community in general.

The event's main focus was procrastination, a reality that affects many today. It answered several questions, including: What is this bad habit? What disadvantages can it bring to a daily routine? And how can it be combated?
Arturo Acevedo, one of the workshop participants, commented: "I attended this talk because procrastination also affects me. What I liked is that they gave us tips and techniques to overcome this situation since it leads us to failure and consumes our time. Furthermore, in all the talks, [every speaker] always took God into account, and said that through His help, we can overcome this and other problems."

Health and psychology professionals helped the group identify and recognize situations that they put off daily. In addition, they shared guides, techniques and changes that are necessary to confront this behavior.

"I find this meeting very useful; not achieving our goals is something that generates a lot of frustration, even anxiety. So many times without realizing it we postpone important personal goals by putting tasks that involve more pleasure, that require less effort, and we leave it for later what is worthwhile," mentioned Gabriela Samaniego, a psychologist who also participated in the workshop.

With this type of practical, free workshop, the Asunción Adventist Sanatorium seeks to promote the well-being of the community at large.
