The CAMPUS Library (CRAI) at Sagunto Adventist Campus in Spain hosted a Bible exhibition on April 23 and 26, 2026, featuring 73 copies from the Armenteros-Sánchez collection, offering students, parents, and visitors an opportunity to explore the history, translation, and global reach of Scripture.

The exhibition coincided with World Book Day and attracted 194 students and about a dozen parents on April 23, followed by approximately 50 additional parents during the second exhibition day on April 26, 2026.

Exploring the history of the Bible

The collection included facsimiles of biblical manuscripts, ancient Bible versions, and translations in multiple languages, highlighting the historical and cultural development of Scripture.

Visitors viewed Spanish translations based on both formal and dynamic equivalence approaches, reflecting different methods of balancing accuracy and readability.

The exhibition also featured Bibles in languages such as Japanese, Korean, German, Wichí, Western Toba, Khmer, and Basque, emphasizing the global accessibility of the biblical message.

Special editions, including study Bibles and themed editions, were also displayed.

Strong response from students and families

Organizers said the exhibition generated strong interest among students and parents, many of whom expressed surprise at the variety and history represented in the collection.

Adventist pastor Gabriel Díaz contributed 200 donated books, allowing students to take home materials connected to the event.

One of the most meaningful responses came from several non-Adventist students who shared that they did not own a Bible and expressed a desire to have one.

A continuing impact

Organizers said the exhibition served not only as an educational initiative but also as an opportunity to encourage reflection on the ongoing relevance of the Bible in contemporary society.

They noted that the event highlighted the Bible’s enduring influence across cultures, languages, and generations.
