More than 1,400 people from Pacto, a rural community located in the northwest of Quito, Ecuador, received free medical care from September 6–9 during an Adventist health event organized by the Adventist Hospital of Quito and AdventHealth.
Professionals residing in the area treated children, young people, adults, and families, facilitating access to medical care and promoting healthy living.
In addition to providing medical care, the event enabled participating institutions to better understand the community's needs and create spaces for guidance and accompaniment.
For organizers, these actions represent an opportunity to put into practice their commitment to serving people comprehensively, making healthcare a concrete means of contributing to families' well-being and hope.
The health event also strengthened the relationship between participating institutions and the local community.
Organizers said the Seventh-day Adventist Church seeks to bring attention and care directly to communities and reaffirm its commitment to serving people.
