The national news outlet Infobae, one of Argentina's leading newspapers, recognized the city of Libertador San Martín's lifestyle that combines healthy eating, physical activity, rest, and preventative care in a recent article. Libertador San Martín is an Adventist community in Argentina located in the province of Entre Ríos.

The publication explored some of the characteristics that distinguish the community, including the high consumption of plant-based foods and the low presence of alcohol and tobacco. As part of the article, the publication interviewed Horacio Rizzo, rector of the River Plate Adventist University (Universidad Adventista del Plata, UAP), who explained how the Adventist Christian worldview understands health as part of the overall well-being of individuals.

In Libertador San Martín, physical, mental, social, and spiritual health principles are part of everyday life. A plant-based diet, regular physical activity, and adequate rest are central to life in the area.

For over a century, UAP has trained professionals committed to service, research, and health promotion. Through its academic programs and outreach activities, the institution seeks to extend these principles beyond the classroom.

This work is complemented by the Adventist Sanatorium of Plata and the Adventist Center for Healthy Living, institutions that develop initiatives related to prevention, health education, and the promotion of healthy habits.

Adventist institutions in the community say they recognize the article as an opportunity to share a vision of health, education, and service.

The original article was published on the South American Division Spanish news site.
