The Alvin Ortner Trust has donated $1.1 million to Union College, a Seventh-day Adventist liberal arts college located in Lincoln, Nebraska.  The donation will be used to complete the Ortner Center-a new facility that will house food services, conference rooms, an art gallery, campus security, and a renovated men’s dormitory. This marks the first million-dollar, one-time contribution Union College has received from an individual donor. Alvin L. Ortner was a 1929 alumnus of Union College who died October 31, 1999.
