Creation Scientific and Educational Center opens at Zaoksky Adventist University

Zaoksky Adventist University celebrated the opening and dedication of the Creation Scientific and Educational Center on June 20 and 22, 2026. The dedication ceremony was held at the university's multifunctional complex. It is the first center to connect scientific data with the biblical narrative in the Euro-Asia Division (ESD).

Currently, the Seventh-day Adventist Church has approximately two dozen creation centers located in several divisions around the world. Each center aims to show that the biblical Creation story is not at odds with modern scientific thought. Like other Adventist centers, the Creation Scientific and Educational Center features exhibits similar to those found in modern natural history museums. Its distinctive approach is that the exhibits and scientific evidence are interpreted through the lens of the biblical account of the origin and history of the world.

Mikhail Fomich Kaminsky, ESD director, Ivan Ilyich Velgosha, ESD executive secretary, and Evgeny Vladimirovich Zaitsev, director of the Institute of Biblical Studies at the ESD attended the event.

Ronald Nalin, director of the Geoscience Research Institute at the Adventist General Conference, sent a video greeting in which he emphasized the importance of opening such a center in the division. He reiterated the primary goals and objectives of such centers.

In his welcoming remarks, Kaminsky emphasized the need for and importance of such centers for preaching the gospel.

Alexey Valerievich Popov, director of the Sotvorenie Center, expressed gratitude for the comprehensive assistance and support provided in the creation of the center from the General Conference and the university administration. Popov also thanked the many brothers and sisters who, through their advice and direct participation, facilitated its opening.

Following the ceremony, attendees were able to visit the center and view the exhibits and materials displayed.
