Health care facilities and schools on the island of Madagascar will enjoy a “face-lift” thanks to Duron Incorporated, a US-based company in Beltsville, Maryland. Duron donated nearly 4,400 gallons of architectural paint-enough to cover more than 20 Boeing 747 airplanes.

“They were the answer to our prayers,” said Dr. Allan Handysides, director of health ministries for the Seventh-day Adventist Church worldwide, who had written to many different companies asking for paint to renovate buildings on the island off the coast of southeast Africa. The paint will be used to refurbish the Adventist Health System’s 70-bed hospital in Andapa as well as 19 clinics and various schools in the area.

“We are happy to contribute to this worthwhile effort,” said Pete Pittroff, Duron’s senior vice president for sales and operations.
