The AJA society, Associação dos Jovens Adventistas (Adventist Youth Association) São José III, in the East Zone of Manaus, organized a serenade where young people and members held posters with a missing piece to form a puzzle. They came together to sing praises about the love of Jesus and friendship.

The project's creator, Wilson Cruz, says he came up with the idea while praying for the annual reunion organized by the Seventh-day Adventist Church. The project has reached 30 people so far.

Francisney Nunes was one of them. In February of this year, he received a surprise visit at home, and now he never misses a rescue serenade. “I know how important this simple gesture was in my life, and I want to share this with other people who, like me, are going through difficulties, doubts, and even loneliness,” he says.

Planning

The visits are planned in advance. After making contact with people who have been away, the initiative's volunteers begin to determine how many people will receive the serenade. “When we call, we can already see how the person is doing, whether they will be receptive to the project, so we pray for weeks to choose. It is the Holy Spirit who shows us, I have no doubt,” explains the coordinator.
