Fashion designer Elisângela de Cássia said an online query helped confirm her decision to join the Seventh-day Adventist Church. According to de Cássia, she had been studying the Bible for several years, watching Evidências (Evidences) on Novo Tempo TV, hosted by Dr. Rodrigo Silva.

Novo Tempo is the Portuguese-language media network of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, operating TV, radio, and digital platforms across Brazil and parts of South America.

After refusing several invitations to visit a local church, de Cássia said she asked an AI chatbot which church would be ideal “for following the Bible and pleasing God.” The answer was: “Seventh-day Adventist Church.”

Surprised by the response, she visited a local Adventist church and publicly accepted Christ through baptism in Sete Lagoas, Brazil, during the opening of Novo Tempo TV’s Arena do Futuro (Arena of the Future) event. At the same service, 16 other people were baptized.

"I wanted to be sure I was on the right path. When I read the answer, I felt peace and trembled all over, unable to hold back the tears. It was God using technology to confirm what He had already been telling me in my heart," said de Cássia.

For South American Division Evangelism Director Rafael Rossi, “this is an example of how God continues to work miracles,” he says. Rossi commented on the role of technology in outreach.

"I'm still amazed by God's miracles. Using artificial intelligence to reach a person is proof that Jesus is getting closer and closer to returning, praise God," he says.

The Arena of the Future event is scheduled to visit the cities of Ribeirão das Neves, Betim, Belo Horizonte, and Santa Luzia through November 1, 2025, when the Central Minas Conference (Associação Mineira Central, AMC) celebrates its 70th anniversary.

The Central Minas Conference is an administrative headquarters of the Seventh-day Adventist Church located in Southeastern Brazil and oversees the work of local churches, schools, and other Adventist entities in Minas Gerais and Belo Horizonte.
