The fifth Public Campus Ministries (PCM) Missionary Training was held on January 11–15, 2023, at the Northern Asia-Pacific Division (NSD) Mission Leadership Training Center in Jeju, South Korea. Under PCM’s motto, “Follow Jesus. Embrace His Mission. Change the World,” six young missionaries received basic training, which helps them to understand the culture of the mission fields they will enter, the identity of the Adventist Church and Adventist Youth Ministries, church history, the manual of PCM, and other topics.

During the opening and closing worships, Kim YoHan, NSD president, gave encouraging messages to the missionaries, instilling a spirit of mission. Pastor Lee JinHyeon, former PCM coordinator and now Children’s Ministries director for Middlewest Korean Conference, was the main speaker. His lectures included practical lessons on Bible study methods, meditating on God’s Word, writing prayer journals, and practical demonstrations to help missionaries shape a spiritual life in the mission field. Additionally, Pioneer Mission Movement pastors who have been working with PCM missionaries in their churches and senior PCM missionaries vividly shared their experiences in the mission field through an online meeting.

All six missionaries will be dispatched to Taiwan in February 2023 to serve for one year in their assigned non-Adventist universities with the goal of sharing the love of Jesus with young Taiwanese who do not know Him.
