In 2023, according to the Public Security Balance of the Ministry of Justice and Public Security, Brazil recorded the lowest number of intentional lethal violent crimes since 2010, representing a significant drop in the rate of violence in the country. According to data compiled by the Yearbook of the Brazilian Public Security Forum, the number of active police officers murdered in Brazil increased in 2023, reaching an alarming mortality rate of 30%. These professionals face not only violence inside prison units, but also threats from criminal organizations outside them, making their work even more challenging and dangerous.

These initiatives help to strengthen the mental health of these individuals, providing moments of relaxation and unity in the midst of adversity.

Our goal is to provide moments of reflection and unity to strengthen them in their mission", highlighted the director of the Evangelism department for the Sul Espírito Santense Church headquarters.
