The Philippine Publishing House (PPH) recently concluded a successful week-long evangelistic meeting in Misamis Occidental, Philippines. Merson Navarro, the church pastor of Jimenez Central Church, initiated the event, which took place from June 24 to June 29, 2024.

Leonardo C. Heyasa Jr.'s PPH administration and pastor, fully supported the event. Heyasa served as a health lecturer, while Charlie C. Solis, Human Resource director, contributed significantly to its success. Also in attendance were Elbert M. Esperanzate, vice president for Operations, and Joel C. Silva, vice president for Finance, who offered invaluable support throughout the meeting.

Gomer D. Vistal, vice president for Marketing, was the main preacher who spearheaded the spiritual efforts. The presence and support of the PPH staff's spouses further enhanced the success of this significant gathering.

The event culminated in a remarkable achievement with the baptism of 129 individuals, signifying a profound spiritual revival in the region.

In an interview, Heyasa shared his insights and aspirations for the event. When asked about the key message or goal he aimed to achieve through the week-long campaign in Western Mindanao and its anticipated impact on the local community, he responded:

"First, we aim to exalt Jesus before the brethren and the Jimenez community. Many, even within the church, have not truly prioritized God in their lives. Secondly, we want to bring the Philippine Publishing House closer to the Western Mindanao Conference and its people. By partnering with local churches, we strive to strengthen our bond and increase awareness about our mission and identity."

“We believe this initiative will help the community better understand and appreciate our publishing work and its impact on our church’s evangelism and nurturing programs. Ultimately, we aim to garner comprehensive support for the mission God has entrusted to us,” he added.

The event has not only helped enrich the spirituality of the community in Jimenez, but has also highlighted the important role of the Philippine Publishing House in supporting church evangelism and nurturing programs. This successful collaboration between PPH and the local churches in Western Mindanao promises to build stronger bonds and encourage a deeper understanding of the Publishing House’s mission and impact.
