Paraná Adventist College (IAP) received a grade 5 in the accreditation from the Ministry of Education (MEC). It is the first time the institution reached the maximum score.

The unprecedented achievement left the entire academic community and administrative team in celebration. "A grade like this, credited by the Ministry of Education, brings out and emphasizes what we do so seriously, which is the concern with the formation of consistency, a professional training well grounded and well made," says Pastor Fabiano Leichsenring Silva, general director of IAP, in celebration.

The MEC evaluators' report validated the institution's initiatives in five main aspects: didactic-pedagogical organization, faculty, technical-administrative staff, and the physical facilities, which include the seven courses offered.

Professor Diego Alexandre, academic director of Higher Education, points out that the maximum grade indicates that the college meets the highest quality standards required by MEC. "For IAP, this positive evaluation is even more relevant because the institution is committed to Christian values and principles, which include the search for academic excellence and the integral formation of students, with an ethical, moral, and spiritual basis," he points out.

This is another step towards the growth of Paraná Adventist College, as Silva points out. "We have established a new project to move forward with the opening of new courses and to turn IAP into a university center. This grade is extremely important in this process. It allows us to take a first step towards what is an achievement for União Sul Brasileira [administrative headquarters of Paraná Adventist Church, Santa Catarina and Rio Grande do Sul] and for southern Brazil: to have a university center in its territory," he says. In 2024, the institution completes 85 years of foundation and presents plans for the expansion of higher education.
