From April 16 to 19, 2025, the Women’s Ministries and Family Ministries departments of the Pakistan Union Mission (PKU) hosted a series of events aimed at strengthening church leadership and family relationships across the country.
Held at the PKU headquarters in Lahore and streamed online to remote regions, the programs provided Level 2 and Level 4 certification training to more than 130 women. Sessions covered spiritual leadership, mentoring, mission engagement, and practical strategies for family life. Organizers say the hybrid model helped foster unity and engagement across geographical boundaries.

Leaders from both the Pakistan Union and the Northern Asia-Pacific Division (NSD) participated, including Raquel Arrais, NSD Women’s and Family Ministries director, and Lee MyunJu, PKU president. Together with local organizers, they led training designed to equip women for greater service in their churches and communities.
Under the motto “My Family. My Ministry,” the Family Ministries program focused on strengthening marriages and parenting. Meanwhile, Women’s Ministries emphasized mission-driven leadership and practical church involvement. Both programs blended biblical principles with practical application, encouraging participants to lead with purpose.

On Sabbath, a special worship service at Adventpura Seventh-day Adventist Church celebrated the 30th anniversary of Women’s Ministries. Arrais delivered the sermon, and attendees marked the occasion with a cake-cutting ceremony and expressions of gratitude for three decades of ministry.
“It was a time of joy, reflection, and renewed dedication to God’s calling,” said Arrais.
PKU leaders reaffirmed their commitment to developing Christ-centered, capable women leaders. Certified participants now return to their local churches with new tools, deeper conviction, and a shared vision for service.
