When thousands of Seventh-day Adventists from every corner of the globe gather under one roof, it is more than a conference—it’s a family reunion, a spiritual summit, and a worldwide celebration of mission.
As the 62nd General Conference Session opened its doors in the heart of St. Louis, Missouri, a vibrant chorus of languages, smiles, and testimonies filled the America’s Center Convention Complex, making it feel less like a venue and more like a sanctuary.
For first-time attendees, the GC Session can feel overwhelming—in the best possible way. There’s an awe that comes with seeing flags from more than 200 countries, hearing the swell of united worship, and meeting people whose only introduction is a warm handshake and the phrase, “Happy Sabbath!”
For seasoned delegates and guests, it is a powerful reminder that the Adventist Church is alive, growing, and global—held together not by geography or language but by a shared hope in Jesus and a commitment to His soon return.

From spirited greetings in hallways to heartfelt prayers in breakout rooms, the atmosphere is electric. This isn’t just a business meeting. It’s a movement on the move.
Let’s hear the church, and let their voice speak of their experiences of this global reunion.
Seika, from Japan
“Coming from a small island like Okinawa, I never imagined I’d see this many Christians gathered in one place. It’s truly inspiring to meet so many passionate and faithful believers from around the world.”
Dalila, from Congo
“All I can say is—c’est magnifique! I’m deeply impressed by how well organized everything is. The people are so kind, and I’ve learned so much already. This is a very special experience for me, especially because it’s my first time attending a General Conference Session. It’s something I’ll never forget.”
Nathan, from Pakistan
“When I arrived, it was a truly wonderful experience. I was able to reconnect with old friends and meet people from so many different cultures. Each conversation was a chance to learn something new. It’s been such a blessing to feel part of a global family—united by faith, no matter where we come from.”
Shermaine, from the Philippines
“Walking into the GC Session for the first time feels like stepping into the scene described in Revelation—the great reunion of believers from every nation, tribe, and language. People from all over the world are united in worship and mission. It’s overwhelming, deeply inspiring, and a powerful reminder that we are indeed one global Adventist family.”

Qian Xu, from China
“I first learned about the General Conference Session nearly 20 years ago while attending an ASi convention. Someone told me, ‘If ASi is one drop of water, the General Conference Session is a whole bucket.’ That image stayed with me and gave me an idea of how big the GC Session really is. When I finally attended in 2015, I was truly inspired. For the first time, I saw with my own eyes that our church is not just local—it’s a worldwide church. Seeing people from different countries, in their traditional clothing, worshiping together—it deeply moved me. Every time the crowd shouted, ‘Yes! Praise the Lord!’ I felt the Spirit. It was powerful.”
Joni, from Brazil
“For me, this General Conference Session feels like a glimpse of heaven on earth. It’s amazing to look around and see people from so many different cultures, all united by the same faith and hope. It’s deeply encouraging and uplifting—like experiencing a piece of heaven right here. That’s the impression it left on me, and honestly, I don’t know how else to describe it.”
Angelica, from Canada
“My first impression is a sense of awe to see our global church family gather together in worship. It transports me to what heaven will be like.”
Tsvetelina, from Bulgaria
“An amazing opportunity to experience the meaning of being part of God’s family on earth. The dimensions and scope of the event are impressive, but the experiences of so many people I see and talk to around me are so diverse and personal. And when a decision is taken, you really feel like you are part of something big. I already felt the Holly Spirit in the discussions, the smiles, the people. Everyone [with a badge] in the whole city is ready to speak to you and to address you as a sister or a brother. Feeling grateful and blessed for this opportunity.”

Marisa, from Egypt
“My first impressions of the 62nd Session of the GC were a sense of pride and joy to see so much work and effort to serve the delegates, guest and participants of the church. The stage set-up, the logistics of accommodations and meals, the media coverage, all shows a lot of thought and care. I am blessed to be part of the international family!”
Meena, from India
“I’m grateful to be attending the GC Session for the second time. It’s a joy and a blessing to be part of this global Adventist Church. We remain committed to serving the Lord in India, praising God for the opportunity He has given us to prepare people for His soon return. Thank you so much for this meaningful experience.”
Josephine, from Papua New Guinea
“Allow me to introduce myself and share my first impressions. Attending the General Conference Session is something I always look forward to. It’s one of those rare and sacred moments when Seventh-day Adventists from every part of the world come together in one place.
“Every time I enter the main hall, it feels like stepping into the New Jerusalem. Personally, it brings to life the words of Isaiah 66:23: ‘And it shall come to pass that from one new moon to another, and from one Sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the Lord.’

“Looking around and seeing people from all corners of the earth—Fijians, Pacific Islanders, Filipinos, Asians, Africans, Americans, and so many more—each in their beautiful traditional dress, speaking different languages, singing different tunes, but worshiping the same God, lifts my spirit. It’s emotional. It’s powerful.
“The messages, the prayers, the sermons, and the songs shared at this session make me feel like I’m just one step away from heaven’s gate. My heart cries out, ‘I just want to go home. I want Jesus to come soon.’
“Honestly, I don’t want this experience to end. I wish this program could continue. But until we all meet again, may this gathering inspire us to keep serving, keep believing, and keep preparing for that glorious day when Christ returns.”
