The Novo Tempo Caravan is a traditional event that takes TV Novo Tempo presenters across Brazil for a special program. On May 18, 2024, the 2024 edition debuted, starting in the Brazilian states of Pará and Maranhão.
There, they held a Health Fair in collaboration with the local church. The aim was to introduce the community to eight natural remedies. Along with information about natural remedies, the fair offered free services such as blood pressure measurement, bioimpedance, blood glucose testing, and body massage at the stands. Approximately 120 people participated in the event, and 100 basic food baskets were distributed to promote the well-being of the community, addressing the physical, mental, and spiritual aspects of health.
The social action caught the attention of the press, and two local broadcasters covered the event. This helped to publicize the health message contained in the Bible and preached by the Adventist Church and the existence of TV Novo Tempo on an open channel in the city for all viewers who had contact with the reports shown.
In the afternoon, the Novo Tempo Caravana carried out its usual programming, presenting mini-programs such as Family Office, Good Bible, Easy Bible, Na Mira da Verdade, Identity, Faith for Today, The Voice of Prophecy, and Angels of Hope at the Leonildo Borges Rocha Convention Center, which received around 1,500 people.
Baptisms
On May 19, the team went to Imperatriz, a city in Maranhão, where they performed in the early evening. There, the main guests at the event were people who follow TV Novo Tempo's programming and have already been to an Adventist Church. People were baptized, expressing their commitment to Jesus publically, and became official members of the Adventist Church. The total audience was around 1,200 people.
This year's event was different from previous years as it featured the participation of Aninha, a young character from the Little Angels of Hope (Anjinhos da Esperança) project. According to Krys Magalhães, manager of Little Angels of Hope, “The idea is to show the importance and relevance of children, who can be registered in the project and, thus, also contribute to the preaching of the Gospel”.
For Antonio Tostes, general director of Novo Tempo de Comunicação, “The caravans are very important for Novo Tempo, as they are a unique opportunity that we have as a broadcaster to have a direct meeting with our viewers. We have the joy of bringing together thousands at the same time, extending our words of gratitude to the audience and strengthening a relationship with them. They are the reason for everything we do here.”
