Every year, the Northern Asia-Pacific Division (NSD) promotes a special week to come together as a family to study, pray, and fellowship. This year, after three years of the COVID-19 pandemic, the NSD was able to hold the first Week of Prayer face to face. Dr. Gebre Worancha Dimma was invited to be the guest speaker. He was born in Ethiopia but is currently serving as a professor in the School of Theology at Bugema University, in Kampala, Uganda. The theme for the week was “Spiritual Growth and Commitment to Mission.” The daily topics were relevant and reminded attendees why they are here as disciples of Jesus.
Dr. Dimma brought his passion to every message. His enthusiasm and great love for the Gospel story inspired the NSD family to delve deeper into the Word of God. As an evangelist, his motto is “Let the Bible Speak.”
During this week of spiritual emphasis, attendees had the opportunity to be spiritually revived, strengthen their relationships with God, and be more committed to the church mission. The results of such a spiritual revival week produced joy, encouragement, unity, hope, and commitment to the workers at the NSD.
