August was a month in which many people made decisions for eternity thanks to meetings conducted at Morata Two Seventh-day Adventist Church in the Central Papua Conference in Papua, New Guinea.

Immediately after the PNG government declared lockdown for the country, church elder Nathan Luso began a small cell group house near his home. People convened for worship for a few months until five people made the decision to be baptized. Now, a few months later, the group has grown to the size of a church plant and land has been cleared to build a church building.

Final-year theology student Justin Kundalin was involved in running meetings for the small group and says he has learned three important lessons:

1. No circumstance is powerful enough to stop people from making decisions for eternity. Even during the lockdown, people made the decision because nothing can stop the work of the Holy Spirit.

2. For many people, COVID-19 has been a blessing in disguise. In PNG, it has been an opportunity to evangelize to the community.

3. Never underestimate the power of a small group. This all began with the small group that Elder Nathan Luso began which, as a result, will soon become a church.
