More than 260 Bible instructors in Chile receive certification from Andrews University

The program strengthened the preparation of leaders committed to Bible teaching and discipleship after more than four months of training.

A total of 268 participants from 23 districts of the Central South Chile Conference (ACSCh) received certification from the Bible Instructor Program. The ceremonies were held on July 18 at the Adventist Church of the Chile Adventist University (UnACh), in Chillán, Chile and on July 19, 2026, at the Central Adventist Church of Concepción. On both days, 20 pastors and administrators accompanied graduates in this milestone for the mission of the denomination.

Despite the weather conditions affecting the area during the weekend, the ceremonies went ahead as scheduled. Participants who were unable to attend will receive their certification later at the mission schools in their respective districts.

The program began on March 14. For more than four months, participants attended mission schools in their churches and districts while completing their preparation through virtual trainings aimed at strengthening Bible teaching and discipleship.

Víctor Araoz, ACSCh Sabbath School and Personal Ministry director, explained that this process strengthened the spiritual and practical preparation of the participants. He also stressed that the graduation recognizes the formative and missionary commitment assumed by each participant during the program.

The certification is supported by Andrews University. This support strengthens the academic quality of the program and guarantees a preparation aligned with the principles and doctrines of the Adventist Church.

During the ceremony, Ricardo Norton, a representative of Andrews University, highlighted the value of preparing committed members for the mission.

"We need to take the message of the three angels to all of Chile and the whole world. I congratulate the administration of the Association for organizing this graduation and the instructors for completing the courses to receive the diploma. May this seed of evangelism planted in this community bear fruit," he said.

The new Bible instructors will support the development of Bible studies, accompany people interested in knowing the Bible, and strengthen discipleship in their churches and communities.

The president of the South Central Association of Chile, Hernán Sanzana, stressed that the training is part of the commitment to prepare the Church to fulfill its mission.

"Today our purpose is to instruct the Church through each missionary school in the different districts of our Association to promote witnessing, thinking that it is time to reach more people to study the Bible and bring them to the feet of Christ," he reinforced.
