With great expectations, GAiN (Global Adventist Internet Network) was held in Uruguay, an event organized for communicators and evangelists from all over the country, from April 19 to 21, 2024, at the Adventist Recreational and Training Center (CREA) Blancarena. The event also brought together musicians, sound engineers, and receptionists from all the Uruguayan Adventist Churches.

The objective of GAIN Uruguay was to develop and enhance the skills of church communication leaders, train them, and provide them with tools for efficient communication of the message of hope, in addition to disciplining new generations with the same objective.

Pastor Jorge Rampogna, the communications leader of the Adventist Church for South America, also attended the event. He developed topics about the importance of technological advancement and how the church adapts to changes in the digital age. In addition, he emphasized the need to study the Bible and guided attendees in the proper use of new digital tools, such as artificial intelligence, as communication strategies.

"At this time, we need to work in an increasingly professional manner, looking for the correct tools to use in preaching the gospel... That is why this type of event, and specifically this one, was so important for Uruguay," said the communications leader.

The program was developed by general issues called Plenary Sessions, where the speaker developed topics of interest to all attendees. After the Plenary Sessions, four learning workshops were held, according to the four groups of attendees to receive technical training for their respective functions.

The workshops were the following: Audio and Music Workshop for those in charge of the Audio and Multimedia department and directors of Singing and Music of the churches; Evangelism and Reception Workshop for evangelists and those in charge of receiving churches; and Communications and Reception Workshop for church communicators and receptionists of the Bible School and listeners of Radio Nuevo Tiempo.

On Saturday afternoon, and thanks to the joint work of the Evangelism and Communications departments, José Olivera was baptized, after his Bible study process.

The program ended with an emotional message for communications leaders, emphasizing the importance of planning and strategies in the role of each church communicator and the advancement of the Adventist mission. With a call to leadership through communications, this event ended with the challenge of continuing to bring the message of hope to every corner of Uruguay and with a renewed and enthusiastic commitment of the participants to continue fulfilling the mission.
