The Hispanic Adventist community in London, United Kingdom, celebrated its most significant baptismal moment in more than four decades after 20 people were baptized at the close of “Hope Week,” a weeklong evangelistic series held from October 25 to November 1, 2025.

Led by the Central London Hispanic Seventh-day Adventist Church and the Southeast Hispanic Company, a growing Adventist congregation in London, the program brought together members and visitors for a week of worship, prayer, and learning.

The evangelistic series united spiritual revival with emotional and relational support through messages presented by Adventist pastor and guest speaker José Saavedra and his wife, psychologist Andrea Muñoz, both from Colombia. Their presentations emphasized God’s power to restore and transform lives.

The average nightly attendance exceeded 110 participants, with individuals gathering for Bible-based sermons, prayer, testimonies, and fellowship. Organizers noted that the response reflected not only the commitment of the members but also a strong interest from friends and visitors.

The historic baptismal service was officiated by Luis Fajardo, who recognized the scale and significance of the moment for the London Hispanic Adventist community.

“This is the fruit of many prayers and the united effort of leaders and members across our district [of churches],” said Fajardo. “We praise God for this tremendous victory and for what the Holy Spirit continues to do in London.”

Alongside the 20 who were baptized, 10 more individuals are now preparing to take this step in December, indicating continued spiritual momentum following the weeklong outreach.

The success of the initiative reflects the collaboration across the district of churches, with volunteers, ministries, and small-group leaders working together to share the gospel of hope with the local community.

With more people engaging in Bible studies and preparing for baptism, local church leaders believe this moment marks the beginning of a renewed evangelistic movement among London’s growing Hispanic population. “We move forward in faith,” Fajardo concluded. “This is just the start of what God desires to do in our city.”
