On December 4, 2025, Libala Seventh-day Adventist Church in Lusaka, Zambia, visited Nachitete Primary School in Chongwe District to support vulnerable students through prayer and the donation of school and hygiene supplies.

Nachitete Primary School serves many children from low-income families who face barriers such as limited access to learning materials, basic clothing, and personal hygiene items. Church leaders said the visit aimed to encourage students to stay in school and reassure staff and families that they are not alone in their efforts to support children’s education.

The initiative was organized by the church’s prayer group and took place under the Woodlands Conference of the Southern Zambia Union Conference, the regional headquarters of the Adventist Church in southern Zambia.

During the visit, prayer team members held moments of prayer for the school community.

Among the visitors was Prosper Kanja, a professional teacher trained in mathematics and accounting, who shared a motivational message with the students. Kanja encouraged them to work hard, believe in themselves, and not feel inferior because of their rural background, reminding them that they hold significant value in society.

The Libala Seventh-day Adventist Church Prayer Band also donated assorted items to Nachitete students, including books, school uniforms, shoes, sanitary pads, and pens and pencils.

Speaking on behalf of the staff, head teacher Linus Brown Kataule expressed appreciation for the support and noted that the items would help ease some of the everyday challenges faced by learners.

Grade 4 student Isaac Bumi Chibakela, representing his classmates, also thanked the church for the donations and the encouragement shared during the visit.

Church leaders said the local church's prayer team plans to continue similar initiatives in other communities, focusing on practical assistance and spiritual support for vulnerable children and families.
