The Women's Leadership Course offered by the Women's Ministry of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Ecuador recently sought to develop personal skills and promote committed leadership among women. As a result, 1,835 Adventist women from across the country completed a training course focusing on increasing female involvement in church activities and fulfilling the Church's mission.
“Training the current leadership and empowering our women will allow for a more focused Church with more precise actions, fulfilling the purpose of having women who cooperate with God, disciples who make disciples,” said Fernanda Schuabb, the country's Women's Ministry leader.
The course covered various topics, including volunteering and mission work, sermon preparation, and principles of oratory. These subjects were presented by women representatives of the Adventist Church from eight South American countries, ensuring a multicultural perspective and providing accurate information.
From January to November, the women completed 20 topics along with their respective evaluations. The Women's Ministry of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in the country created a website where they shared the topics, supporting materials, schedules, and evaluations.
In Ecuador, Adventist women account for 54.8% of total church members. These programs help strengthen the missionary focus and support their growth.
