Music, joy, and worship filled the screen as young people from across Europe performed during the first-ever EUD Vision Song Contest, streamed live on October 24, 2025.
"More than a contest, this was an evening of praise and worship, in which the name of God was lifted high," organizers said.
Seven countries presented seven original songs during the event, hosted by the Inter-European Division (EUD) Youth Ministries department. The event focused on Psalm 96, "Sing to the Lord a new song; sing to the Lord, all the earth.”
“To sing something ‘new’ means to recognize that God is still at work today, not only in the past. Every sunrise, every act of mercy, every chance to start again gives us reasons to praise Him. And the psalm isn’t speaking only to one person, but to ‘all the earth’ — it’s a universal invitation. It doesn’t matter the language, culture, or personal story; we are all called to join in the same praise, not out of routine, but out of wonder. To sing to the Lord is to declare that He is still worthy and that our hope in Him does not end,” Jonatán Bosqued, EUD Youth Ministries director, shared.
Each country brought its "unique sound and message," organizers said, yet all pointed to the same hope in Christ.
“Every lyric, every song, is a reflection of God’s work in the lives of the young people who created them … Each song is an invitation to worship and praise,” added Alexandra Mora, one of the event hosts and organizers.
Romania opened with “Astăzi vin” ("Today I Come”), performed by Abigail Nistor, followed by France’s “Lève-toi” (“ARISE Youth”) from Dorice Bibrac. Spain’s youngest contestant, 19-year-old Ana Belén Cortés, presented “Has vencido la batalla” (“You Have Won the Battle”). Belgium’s Noa Sorelina performed “One Purpose,” Bulgaria’s Konstantin Tomov offered “Courageous,” and Portugal’s Caleb Reis and Rui Jorge Ferreira presented “Envia-me a mim” (“Send Me”). Germany closed the program with Martim Torre’s “As a Crowd to Heaven.”
A representative from each country joined the program live to award points to the songs, ranging from four to twelve. After the jury votes were announced, viewers were invited to participate through PollUnit, an online voting platform used for public polls and contests worldwide. A total of 2,943 audience votes were cast and added to the jury results, determining Portugal as the winner of the 2025 EUD Vision Song Contest with a total of 1,214 points.
The winning song received a prize of 400 euros (about US$432) and up to five free tickets to the European Adventist Youth Congress, scheduled for August 4–8, 2026, in Valencia, Spain. Organizers said the event underscored that worship transcends borders—an evening marked by praise, community, and young people using their gifts for God’s mission.
The EUD oversees the work of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in 20 countries across Central, Western, Southern, and Eastern Europe.
