A fire broke out at the Physical Plant facility of the Adventist International Institute of Advanced Studies (AIIAS) on June 12, 2026, and was quickly contained by local authorities. No injuries or disruptions to essential campus services were reported.

Emergency responders from the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) in Silang, Philippines, arrived promptly after receiving the call and brought the fire under control by midnight.

AIIAS officials expressed gratitude that all students, employees, and campus residents remained safe throughout the incident.

Despite the fire, campus operations were largely unaffected. Electricity, water, internet connectivity, and other essential services continued without interruption, allowing the institution to maintain normal operations.

In an official advisory released following the incident, AIIAS confirmed the details of the fire response and reassured the campus community regarding safety and service continuity.

“We praise the Lord that no one was hurt during this incident, and that all services (electricity, water, internet, and others) are still available to campus,” the advisory stated.

The institution also announced that the affected area has been secured while authorities conduct a formal investigation. According to the advisory, the BFP will examine the site in the coming days to determine the cause of the fire.

As a precautionary measure, AIIAS has prohibited access to the area until the investigation is completed.

The institution thanked the campus community for its cooperation and understanding as safety assessments continue.

The AIIAS serves graduate students from across Asia and around the world, preparing leaders for ministry, education, and service. Campus leaders said updates will be provided as more information becomes available from fire investigators.
