The Iberian Teachers' Convention, which was held at the Sagunto Adventist Campus from July 8th to 11th, 2024, was themed “Integration of Faith and Values in Teaching.”

This convention was prepared by the Department of Education in partnership with the Children's Ministries of the Portuguese and Spanish Unions. Over 100 teachers, chaplains, and students were present, 25 of whom were from Portugal.

The event's motto was “Educating for Eternity," highlighting the great objective of Adventist Education: that students know Jesus and accept salvation.

For this training, a team of experienced trainers was invited: Dr. Raquel Karniejczuk, Dr. Victor Korniejczuk, Dr. Sonia Krum, and Dr. Vanina Lavooy.

Dr. Marius Munteanu, director of the Education Department of the Inter-European Division (EUD), Dr. Lisa M. Beardsley-Hardy, director of the Education Department of the General Conference, and Dr. Noemí Durán, who leads the EUD Geoscience Research Institute, participated in the convention.

During these days, participants experienced moments of prayer and communion with God, adding to moments of learning, sharing, and collaboration.

“We thank the presidents of UPASD and UAE, both passionate about Adventist Education,” acknowledged João Daniel Faustino, director of the Education Department at the Portuguese Union. “We left this place with a full heart, excited by this experience, aware of our responsibility in this mission, full of hope and trust in our good God,” he added.
