With the initiative and support of Adventist World Radio (AWR), a semi-trailer is traveling through the cities of Ukraine to provide various types of assistance. In Dubno, almost 200 people took advantage of this opportunity and registered to participate in the project. Among them are both local residents and those who were forced to leave their homes and move to a safer place as a result of Russia's full-scale aggression against Ukraine.
However, Hope in Action is not only equipment but primarily specialists and volunteers who help overcome the consequences of the conflict. Among them are rehabilitation therapist Olena Kobernyk, family doctor Yaroslav Artemovskyi, hairdresser Halyna Fedchenko, psychologist Iryna Lahetko, massage therapists Mykola Borsukov, Viktoriia Marchak, and Kateryna Kutselia, administrator Serhii Soia, and project manager Maksym Buha.
In addition to medical and psychological consultations, massage therapy, and hair styling, visitors can receive spiritual support by registering at The Bible School to study the Word of God in an online format.
In Dubno, the semi-trailer is located in the city center, in front of the House of Culture; this is a good location because nearby, there are supermarkets, pizzerias, a bus station, a fitness center, and other establishments with a large number of visitors. Consequently, there were plenty of people willing to register for services.
Thanks to the active social work of the local Adventist community, the city authorities responded positively to this initiative because Hope in Action is a great opportunity to support the city's residents.
The project also included social events: a children's entertaining and educational game called “Country of Health” and a charity concert to raise funds for Ihor Polishchuk, a Ukrainian defender in need of lower limb prosthetics. A series of meetings entitled “Victory in the Information War” is also planned.
