More than 200 young people participated in HeSaidGoXP, an event held March 12–14, 2026, at Southwestern Adventist University in the United States. The initiative was organized by the Volunteer Ministries of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in North America and aimed to inspire a new generation to engage in service and mission projects.

The Seventh-day Adventist Church in South America was present at the event. The region was represented by Dieter Bruns, director of the Adventist Volunteer Service (AVS) for South America. During his participation, he highlighted the work done by the program in connecting young people with different communities.

Bruns also outlined mission needs and opportunities across South America, inviting participants to consider volunteer service.

“Mission needs young people willing to serve with passion and commitment. South America is a field full of opportunities to share hope and the love of Jesus,” he emphasized.

A call to serve

Bruns presented some of the region’s key needs and encouraged participants to view volunteer service as an experience that impacts both communities and individuals.

Organizers said the presence of South American representatives helped raise awareness of these opportunities and encouraged collaboration among young people from different regions.

Collaboration across institutions

The event also included participation from Peruvian Union University (UPeU), represented by Josué Quispe, who promotes volunteer initiatives among students.

Several organizations and institutions involved in mission and education were present, providing participants with information about service opportunities worldwide. These included Quiet Hour Ministries, Adventist Young Professionals, CORE, Loma Linda University, Streams of Light International, and Andrews University, among others.

Representatives from various divisions of the Seventh-day Adventist Church also attended, creating opportunities for exchange and networking.

Training and engagement

Throughout the three-day program, participants engaged in interactive sessions, workshops, and presentations designed to help them identify ways to use their skills in mission work, both locally and internationally.

Organizers said the event aimed not only to promote volunteer opportunities but also to encourage young people to develop a long-term commitment to service.

Church leaders noted that participation in initiatives such as HeSaidGoXP reflects a broader effort to mobilize volunteers and expand mission outreach globally.
