The editorial team of the Chinese Union Mission's Chinese-language newspaper, The Last Day Shepherd's Call, embarked on a learning visit to Taiwan in June. The team visited the Taiwan District Council, Shi Chao Adventist Publishing House, and various churches, medical, educational, and media organizations. Through in-depth discussions and exchanges, they reviewed past collaborative experiences and provided clear guidance for improving the quality of the church's written ministry and promoting cross-regional collaboration.

The Last Day Shepherd's Call is an exclusive bulletin for Chinese Adventists worldwide, with its core mission of providing spiritual nourishment to believers both at home and abroad. In its early years, the publication had editorial offices in both Taiwan and Hong Kong; to this day, the layout, design, printing, and distribution of each issue are still handled collaboratively by Taiwan's Shih Chao Publishing House, with staff in both locations maintaining a long-term and close partnership. This trip, led by Executive Editor Cheng Hao-yin, involved the team conducting on-site visits and seminars to connect with various institutions in Taiwan, listen to the voices of those in service, and further strengthen collaborative channels for written evangelism between the two regions.

This visit included: the North Asia-Pacific Chapter Taiwan Office; Taiwan District Council, Adventist Hospital, Adventist Foundation, Hope TV (Taipei and Yuchi stations); Adventist churches Songshan, Taipei, Taichung, and many other local churches; as well as San-Yu Christian College, San-Yu Senior High School, Nantou Adventist International Experimental Education Center, San-Yu Health Education Center, and Qieding Evangelistic Center. The rich on-site observations provided the team with considerable inspiration for their ministry.

At the end of each seminar, the staff prayed together, sharing in the unity of Christ and allowing the warmth of fellowship to permeate the entire trip. The warm hospitality and candid sharing from the staff in various locations greatly encouraged the editorial team. Everyone deeply realized that although the forms of ministry and regions differ, the core mission of spreading the gospel and nurturing believers remains the same, and cross-regional collaboration can further support and inspire one another in the Lord.

During this trip to Taiwan, the team not only collected a wealth of valuable firsthand feedback and developed optimization plans for the publication's operation but also outlined a clear blueprint for the future development of written ministry.

Hao-yin, stated, "The team will humbly learn and fully utilize the experience gained from this trip to continuously refine their written ministry, making the publication an important platform for nourishing the spiritual lives of Chinese believers worldwide and building connections between faith communities in various regions."
