The delegation from the Central South Chile Conference (ACSCh) of Seventh-day Adventists traveled to Misiones, Argentina, to share Christ's love and fulfill the mission for 10 days. The group, comprising 31 students, principals, and school chaplains, represented 10 of the Adventist educational institutions in the territory. They also had the participation of the Mario Veloso Oses Foundation (FEMVO) team.

Among the organizers of the activity were Carolina Gavilán, Education Department advisor in the Ñuble and Biobío regions, and Pastor Hugo Gómez, director of Adventist Volunteer Service in Chile, as well as coordinator of SEA (marketing and scholarships in the area of education) in the aforementioned regions. The schools that sent representatives were CADEC, CADET, CACH, CATCE, EADMA, CAL, CADHU, EALA, CADECH, and the EAQ. You can access this website to know more details of these institutions of Adventist Education in the ACSCh.

In Misiones, the students carried out service actions together with the Instituto Superior Adventista de Misiones (ISAM), the educational establishment that received them in the trans-Andean country. The missionary interventions consisted of visits to and assistance in the Guarani communities (indigenous community) in the area, repair work, painting, ornamental works in the institute, and an evangelism program carried out in the institute’s church.

In addition, the students attended an orphanage, connecting with other realities and cultivating a deep gratitude for divine blessings. There were also time gaps between activities for the FEMVO representative group and ISAM students and staff to share and bond.

Preparation and Training

The delegation also participated in training sessions and a half-week of prayer, where Pastor Hugo Gómez addressed fundamental topics about the mission in the following points of focus: three angels’ messages, effective mission, and differentiated mission.

Pastor Gómez valued this project, stating, "These activities not only enriched their experience but also strengthened their commitment to the mission and left a significant mark on the community."
