From November 17 to 26, 2025, leaders from Busan Adventist Hospital in South Korea visited Bangladesh and signed a financial support agreement with the Bangladesh Adventist Union Mission, the regional headquarters of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Bangladesh, for the construction of a new branch hospital.
During the trip, the team also conducted medical outreach activities in the region.
The partnership aims to establish an Adventist medical mission facility in Bangladesh and strengthen global evangelism efforts through health ministry. The signing ceremony carried added significance as it took place during the Bangladesh Union Mission Annual Council.
“As we prepared for the expansion of Busan Adventist Hospital, God placed on our hearts the mission of the International Medical Mission Center (IMC),” said Choi MyungSeob, president of Busan Adventist Hospital. “When we traveled across North America to share this vision, many church members supported the project far beyond what we expected.” He expressed deep gratitude for their encouragement.
Lee WonSang, president of the Bangladesh Union Mission, added, “When both institutions decided to rise for this mission, God brought us together. We are deeply thankful to Busan Adventist Hospital and the church members in North America who are taking the lead in supporting the Bangladesh hospital project.”
“It is truly remarkable and inspiring to see institutions from Korea and Bangladesh join hands to advance the mission in an Islamic cultural region and contribute to the global mission,” said Kang SoonGi, president of the Northern Asia-Pacific Division. “We pray for God’s continued blessings throughout the construction process and beyond.”
Busan Adventist Hospital plans to provide construction funding in six phases. The new branch hospital will be developed on the second and third floors of the Bangladesh Union Mission’s Mission Center, with ongoing financial, personnel, and administrative support from Busan Adventist Hospital until the facility is fully established.
