A special seminar series on biblical archaeology was held at Goucher College from September 26-28, 2025, as part of Reach Baltimore 2025, a joint outreach initiative of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, through the collaboration of the Chesapeake and Allegheny East conferences, It Is Written, and North American Division (NAD).

The initiative focuses on sharing the three angels’ messages of Revelation 14—a biblical proclamation emphasizing the eternal gospel, worship of God as Creator, and a call to faithfulness, across Baltimore, Maryland, United States.

“Astonishing Discoveries and Prophecies in the Land of the Bible” was presented by Michael Hasel, professor of Near Eastern studies and archaeology at Southern Adventist University. Over three nights, Hasel guided attendees through recent archaeological discoveries from ancient Egypt, Israel, and Babylon that point to the trustworthiness of Scripture.

Guests from the Baltimore community learned about the event through social media promotions and direct mailings. Attendees were also invited to return to Goucher College beginning Oct. 3 for the “Hope for Humanity” evangelistic series with John Bradshaw, president of It Is Written, and G. Alexander Bryant, president of the NAD.
