Food and food supplies, clothing, and heavy machinery for the cleaning of affected areas were part of the aid, which has awakened the interest of the people to know the Word of God.

The service actions carried out on Sabbath, March 18, 2023, by the youth and the church in the framework of Global Youth Day benefited many families affected by the landslides in northern Peru. These actions generated a chain response, adding to the aid the aforementioned provisions donated by the goodwill of Adventist businessmen.

Raul A. and his wife joined the team of volunteers, sending two dump trucks and two front loaders to clean up the area. The family also donated more than 200 food kits for the victims.

In addition, during the following days, two other Adventist businessmen got involved by donating more than 400 lunches. The neighbors in the Huascaran region of the Chaclacayo district in Lima are grateful and impressed by the selfless help. It is worth mentioning that the neighboring Adventist churches came to join forces and testify to the love of Jesus through these acts of service and sharing the message of hope.

This good news was broadcast live nationally on Latina Televisión, where the reporter emphasized the work of a compassionate, caring church.

Currently, non-Adventists have also joined these actions; and many of them are interested in learning more about the Bible. "What a blessing to be God's hands on this earth! The work is not over yet. We will continue to support, and we are certain that God will continue to provide," says Eduin Diaz, Adventist pastor in this area.
