In Zassovskaya, Krasnodar, Russia, a congress of the literature ministry of the Kuban-Black Sea Conference of Seventh-day Adventists was held. More than 30 people gathered for the training session, loving and serving the Lord by distributing newspapers and books.

Pastor Roman Savenko, director of the Publishing Ministry Department for the Caucasus Union Mission, was invited to participate in the congress. The main speaker at the congress was also veteran pastor Alexei Kropinov, who taught the methods of distributing printed publications and inspired congress participants with his experiences.

On the last day, a distribution of books to the village of Mostovskoy was organized so the participants of the congress could use the acquired knowledge in practice. They were also joined by members of the local community.

In two hours, 112 copies of The Great Controversy were distributed, and dozens of other books and hundreds of newspapers were sold and distributed.

God blessed each participant in the literature distribution with interesting experiences. There were many interesting conversations and joint prayers with people.

Printed publications remain a relevant means of preaching the Gospel today. “Let every believer scatter broadcast tracts and leaflets and books containing the message for this time” (Ellen White, The Publishing Ministry, p. 349).

The original version of this story was posted on the Euro-Asia Division Russian-language news site.
