At the beginning of 2025, young people from southern Chile mobilized to serve their community in the Araucanía region.
As part of the Caleb Mission project, they engaged in various activities aimed at bringing hope and love to those who need it most.
The Caleb Mission project empowers Adventist youth to develop community service and evangelistic initiatives in their local communities, specifically during their vacation time.
With 33 projects scheduled for this year in places such as Temuco, Valdivia, Osorno, Chiloé, and Punta Arenas, the youth of southern Chile are preparing to impact these regions throughout their country.
United to Serve
Recently, nearly 12 young people from the Aillinco Seventh-day Adventist Church met to address a need identified during the "More Love at Christmas" project in the Galvarino region.
Themed "Marcas para Siempre" (Marks for Ever), the young people came together to develop a service activity for a neighbor, giving rise to the first Caleb project in southern Chile.
From early morning, the Caleb team cut and sprayed the grass around the house, collected pine cones for the winter, cut and stored firewood, and cleaned a neighbor's pond.
Aillinco Adventist Youth Director Mariela Guenteo shared her gratitude for the opportunity to serve and bring the love of Christ through the energy and dedication of Adventist youth.
"We are grateful to God for allowing us to share the love of Christ in this rural community of Galvarino. It was exciting to see the motivation of the young people and to be able to meet an urgent need of our neighbor. We were all filled with joy seeing their excitement at the end of the day," said Guenteo.
