The first group of 116 volunteers from Maranatha Volunteers International, winter season 2024, arrived in Peru to live an unforgettable missionary experience in the jungle, specifically in the city of Pucallpa (Ucayali region).

Volunteers are supporting the construction of a church, painting two other churches, and building a Sabbath school classroom. They have also provided free medical and dental care services to residents in various parts of the city.

Taking the Gospel to Distant Places

Being part of Maranatha is a way to get involved in the mission. Volunteers respond to Christ's call to be missionaries by sharing their knowledge, skills, and talents with people who live in the midst of scarce economic and material resources.

In the projects, the study, planning, and execution work is carried out by specialists in the area. However, through its volunteer program, it also provides an opportunity for everyone to collaborate in building the spiritual life of other people through this ministry.

Maranatha Volunteering in Peru

Throughout 2024, it is estimated that 350 people will volunteer to install 20 structures for the construction of churches in Peru. In addition, many of them will also help with the installation of walls and other construction tasks for other churches.

The work of the gospel advances in different territories and with various initiatives. The Seventh-day Adventist Church encourages members to intercede in prayer for people called to be instruments of God through this ministry.
