At the Pacific Chile Mission, the administrative headquarters of the Adventist Church for the Coquimbo and Valparaíso regions in northern Chile, Elizabeth, a mother facing significant family challenges, found refuge and salvation in the Adventist Church through its institutions.

Elizabeth's journey began when her daughters started attending a Christian school, which she chose to instill Christian principles. However, the environment at that school was not ideal. She later discovered Radio Nuevo Tiempo, a Spanish-language television and radio station, which introduced her to the Quilpué Adventist School in Quilpué, a school she had not known about before.

"We went through a very difficult period as a family, facing domestic violence. The school has not just been a school for me; it has become my family," Elizabeth stated.

In 2024, the connection with the Adventist Church strengthened when Lukas Ruiz, the school's chaplain, reached out to Elizabeth from a list of individuals interested in studying the Bible. This initial contact led to a series of Bible studies for Elizabeth.

"We began studying the Bible in a very special way. My relationship with God deepened, and the love and support I received allowed me to ask questions and receive answers with love and understanding," she recalled.

After participating in an evangelism campaign, Elizabeth decided to give her life to Christ through baptism, which symbolizes her renewed faith and commitment to God. "God broke my life into a thousand pieces, and today I am a new woman. I know that the best is yet to come," she affirmed.

As Adventist schools and churches actively engage in sharing the gospel with their communities through various programs and outreach initiatives, these institutions provide essential support, love, and spiritual guidance to individuals in need. As a result, many, like Elizabeth, continue to give their lives to Christ.
