In commemoration of World Blood Donor Day on June 14, 2025, the Infusion Hope restaurant in Temuco, Chile, hosted a community blood donation drive in collaboration with the Blood Bank of Dr. Hernán Henríquez Aravena Hospital.

The Adventist-owned restaurant temporarily renovated its facilities to accommodate donors and support the event.

More than 30 individuals participated in the initiative, demonstrating strong community support for the cause. The event also featured the participation of MAX Gym staff and members of Temuco’s fitness community, whose involvement underscored the importance of cross-sector collaboration and solidarity.

A Joint Effort

The professionalism and hospitality of the hospital's blood bank team were key to the success of the campaign. Infusion Hope expressed appreciation for the collaborative effort on its social media platforms.

“Thank you so much to everyone who came forward to make their donation, and thank you also to the entire Temuco Blood Bank team for the wonderful work they do every day,” the restaurant posted on Instagram.

As an Adventist Church initiative, Infusion Hope continues to play an active role in supporting public health through initiatives that promote service and care for the community.

Addressing a Critical Need

The blood drive was launched in response to a recent announcement by the Temuco Hospital highlighting a shortage of blood, particularly types A and O negative. The effort aimed to raise awareness of the importance of blood donation and encourage ongoing community involvement in addressing urgent health system needs.

Blood shortages in healthcare settings remain a serious challenge, and Infusion Hope has positioned itself as a committed partner in efforts to support patients and healthcare providers.

Encouraged by the success of the event, organizers have announced a second blood donation campaign for later in the year. Infusion Hope and its partners continue to demonstrate that small acts of generosity—when united by love and commitment—can offer hope and make a meaningful difference in people’s lives.
