Adventist education in Bolivia reaffirmed its commitment to protecting children and adolescents by participating in the dissemination of the new Law for the Protection of the Sexual Integrity of Girls, Boys, and Adolescents in Digital Environments (No. 206/2024-2025 CS).
The initiative is part of the Basta de Silencio (Enough Silence) campaign, an annual project of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in South America that seeks to prevent and combat all forms of violence.
The meeting took place on August 25, 2025, at the Coliseum of the Universidad Mayor de San Simón in Cochabamba, with the presence of the Cochabamba Adventist School.
Its students shared lessons in digital prevention, conveyed a message of hope through music, and reinforced the Enough Silence campaign by distributing materials calling for awareness against violence.
The gathering was attended by educational, social, and religious leaders, including the departmental prosecutor of Cochabamba, Osvaldo Dante Tejerina Ríos. He explained that Adventist institutions were invited to take part because of their prior experience in prevention work.
"We have learned that Adventist educational institutions have conducted educational processes regarding the dangers of digital environments for children. Therefore, we invite them to contribute with their initiatives and share their experiences with the community," Tejerina stated.
Commitment to Children and Teens
Edimar Sena, director of the Bolivian Adventist Education System, highlighted the school's ongoing commitment to the defense and protection of children.
The professor commented, "We want a safe environment for our students and for all Bolivian children and adolescents. This law represents an important step in the comprehensive protection of those who are the present and future of our country."
The Bolivian Adventist Education System oversees more than 38 schools, nearly 20,000 students, and 900 teachers across the country. It reaffirmed its mission to work in coordination with both public and private institutions to protect children and adolescents, educating citizens for life and eternity.

In its 2025 edition, the Enough Silence campaign focuses on digital violence, raising awareness about the risks to which children and adolescents are exposed in virtual environments.
For more than 23 years, this Seventh-day Adventist Church initiative has been active across South America, promoting prevention and care through educational and community-based programs.
