Children will now have new audiovisual content to learn about the Bible. On Saturday, October 7, 2023, at 4 p.m., the launch event for the fifth season of the children's series Presente de Nick (“Nick's Gift”) began. The event took place at the Adventist Central Church in Curitiba, Brazil, and is available live on YouTube and Instagram.

The new season consists of 12 episodes in which Nick and his friends get involved in various missionary activities, recalling stories of biblical characters such as Paul, Peter, and other apostles who played crucial roles in the beginning of the Christian church. "The emphasis is on local mission, with quotes from The Ambassadors, which is the book The Acts of the Apostles in today's language," explained Glaucia Korkischko, director of Children's and Adolescents' ministries for the South American Division of Seventh-day Adventists.

The emphases of the five seasons were inspired by books from the Conflict of the Ages series, written by the American author Ellen White. The videos of Presente de Nick are available for free on the Feliz7Play platform, which offers Christian entertainment for all age groups.

Watch the first episode of the fifth season:

Presente de Nick is coordinated by the Spirit of Prophecy Department of the South American Division, in collaboration with Children's Ministries. The production relies on the work of four scriptwriters from Casa Publicadora Brasileira (CPB): Sueli Ferreira Oliveira, Neila Oliveira, Aline Lüdtke, and Anne Lizie Hirle.

Technology for New Generations

Pastor Adolfo Suárez, director of the Spirit of Prophecy Department, highlights the importance of children's biblical content in a technological format. "Often, our boys and girls don't prefer conventional media. Many of them, for example, are not interested in reading the Bible on paper, the Sabbath School lesson on paper, and physical books. They prefer to listen to podcasts and electronic books," he commented during his morning message at the Curitiba Church.

Suárez pointed out that children long for God and eternity and this feeling is in their hearts and minds. "Therefore, we must use mechanisms to nurture this longing," the pastor advised.

In addition to leaders from the South American Division, the launch service in Curitiba was attended by collaborators from CPB and Feliz7Play, who worked on the production of Presente de Nick.

Unity and Prayer

The cartoon was produced by the company EWIG Studios, made up of a team of Adventists and graphic animation professionals who produce materials for various countries, including Brazil, the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, and Russia.

More than 12 months were invested in this project, with a team that included illustrators, narrators, voice actors, animators and scriptwriters from CPB. In all, 26 people worked from conception to final delivery for production in Portuguese and Spanish.

As the technical team who worked on the project points out, in addition to the professionals and technological resources, the unceasing prayer of all those involved in the production of this material has been the main driving force. According to them, this has resulted in the most watched Feliz7Play Kids cartoon in South America, which has surpassed all the platform's records, all with the purpose of sharing faith and history as a church.
