The Seventh-day Adventist Church in Thailand celebrated a historic milestone with the inauguration of its new headquarters, marking a renewed commitment to expanding its mission work in the country. The event, attended by leaders from the Southern Asia-Pacific Division (SSD) and the Southeastern Asia Union Mission (SEUM), signified a new chapter for the Thailand Adventist Mission (TAM).

Attending the ceremony were Roger Caderma, SSD president, and Mamerto Guingguing, SSD associate executive secretary. They were joined by Somchai Chuenjit, SEUM president, and Niratisai Aipan, Thailand Adventist Mission (TAM) president, along with other leaders and directors from SEUM and the Adventist Church in Thailand. Religious leaders from other Christian denominations graced the occasion, underscoring the church’s role in promoting unity and service in the community.

“The Seventh-day Adventist Church has been in Thailand for over a century, and today, we praise God for His leading,” said Caderma. “This new facility is more than just a structure—it is a symbol of faith, perseverance, and commitment to the mission of sharing the love of Christ with all people. As we dedicate this building, we also dedicate our lives to the greater mission of proclaiming the gospel.”

The plan to improve the existing headquarters was realized by the Thailand Mission leadership to further improve its services and for create a more impactful influence to a challenging territory.

Recognizing the need for modern facilities, the Executive Committee initiated the construction of a new headquarters, a project that took 15 months to complete with the support of church members and institutions from Thailand and abroad. The new three-story building now houses administrative offices, a multi-purpose conference room, a media production studio, finance and accounting offices, and a bookstore.

“The new mission headquarters reflects our commitment to strengthening the mission of the church in Thailand,” said Pastor Somchai Chuenjit, SEUM president. “With these new facilities, we will continue to expand our evangelistic efforts, engage with the community, and share the hope of Jesus Christ.”

A Legacy of Mission and Growth

The Adventist message reached Thailand over 120 years ago through a Chinese family of believers who introduced the faith through literature evangelism. The first Seventh-day Adventist Church in Thailand was established by Chinese believers, laying the foundation for the church’s expansion into education, healthcare, youth outreach, and community service.

As the church’s work grew, various mission offices were established to manage its expanding ministries. The Siam Mission Office in Bangkok became the central administrative hub, and in 1962, the church was officially registered as the Seventh-day Adventist Foundation of Thailand. A year later, its first headquarters building was constructed to accommodate its growing work.

A Renewed Commitment to Mission

As the church looks ahead, it remains committed to its mission to spread the gospel, nurture members, and serve communities through education, healthcare, and humanitarian outreach.

With improved facilities, leaders believe that the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Thailand is set to expand its influence, ensuring that the message of salvation reaches more hearts and lives across the nation.
