The Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA) in Romania has launched a new music video, "Love is the Way," in support of the project Hope for Immigrants. ADRA Romania hopes to inform and raise awareness of the phenomenon of migration on an international level. They also want the video to be a sign of solidarity with the over 65 million people who continue to be displaced globally, 22.5 million of which are refugees (according to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees - UNHCR).

"Love is the Way" expresses, in images, a love story-- love for God, love for our peers, love that crosses the borders of countries, of ethnicity, of nationality, and of religious beliefs. Love that overcomes prejudices, time, love that leaves personal comfort behind in order to search and support those who go through the terrors of war. Love that heals physical and mental suffering, love that makes the difference between life and death, love that saves and raises hope, love that changes a life, that changes the world.

"Love is the Way" came after 9 humanitarian interventions of international solidarity with refugees by ADRA Romania from 2015 until now. ADRA Romania has also won two awards 2017 for their work with refugees: 1st Prize at the Civil Society Gala and 1st Prize at the GLOBUE 2017 International Solidarity Gala for contributing to increasing global solidarity and creating a better world.

The video was made possible with the participation of soloists Paula Seling, Luiza Spiridon and Gabriel Cotabiţă, composer George Natsis, instrumentalists Feras Sarmini, Noma Skheir and Artur Korosi, lyricist Alex Natsis, coordinator Claudiu Spiridon, cameramen Narcis Cozmiuc, Marta and Radu Drăghici, Adi Voicu and sponsored by SanoVita.

“When I think of solidarity and empathy, I am thinking of the dozens of volunteers who have put some of their time and resources to do something different to some of their peers. These volunteers have decided to place themselves in a wider context and have made efforts beyond the borders of the country by offering relief, support to those housed in refugee camps in Greece and Iraq,” said Mihai Braşov, volunteer ADRA Romania and project coordinator of Hope for Immigrants. “We thank all the volunteers and donors who chose to join ADRA Romania, making possible the realization of the video "Love is the Way". We need their help to build together a better future for those who have fled the war.”

By helping people who leave their country, fleeing persecution or armed conflicts, who hope to find peace and relief in another place, ADRA Romania, recognizes humanity in this refugee crisis as well as the value of each person. By making human rights a core value and acting with compassion, a clear message of power is transmitted during this complex and fragile situation. Through Hope for Immigrants, ADRA Romania wants to minimize the impact of this overwhelming and unbearable situation for as many men, women and children as they can.
