ADRA Romania expresses gratitude to its partners, HILS Development and Medikali, for their generous support of the Start at School project, which provided 5,000 schoolbags filled with essential supplies for children in need.

This donation signifies a historic milestone for ADRA Romania, leaders say. From 2005 to 2024, the I Want to Go to School project supported a total of 5,673 children.

However, through this new initiative for the 2025-2026 school year, the number of beneficiaries is set to nearly double. This achievement serves as a concrete demonstration of the profound impact that solidarity and genuine partnerships can have on the lives of children facing difficulties.

The collaboration among ADRA, HILS Development, and the Medikali Clinic exemplifies a shared commitment to uplifting children in need and fostering a brighter future through education. By investing collectively in the education of youth, stronger communities and a more equitable society are being nurtured.

"Through our partnership with HILS Development and Medikali, as well as the dedication of our volunteers, ADRA Romania is able to provide not just school supplies, but also hope and motivation for thousands of vulnerable children. The primary objective of the ADRA Start at School project is to combat school dropout rates by equipping 5,000 school bags for children from vulnerable backgrounds. This initiative aims to ensure that each child begins the school year with dignity, fully prepared with the necessary tools for their education, including backpacks, school supplies, writing instruments, and essential educational materials.
