The growing number of these vulnerable children poses a long-term challenge, not only for their communities but for the future of the world.

The Seventh-day Adventist Church in Nepal is actively working to address this issue by supporting orphaned and vulnerable children through various programs. These efforts focus on providing food, shelter, education, and medical care while collaborating with local governments and other organizations to prevent the rising number of such children.

On November 16, 2024, the Nepal Section of the Seventh-day Adventist Church marked a special Sabbath to honor these children. The church organized events for orphans and vulnerable children within and outside the church community. The day included a special church service, followed by distributing gifts and food to these children, emphasizing their worth and the importance of showing them love and care despite their challenging circumstances.

This initiative was a reminder that children are gifts from God, deserving of dignity, respect, and protection. Their voices may often go unheard, but the Adventist Possibilities Ministries and other organizations are dedicated to bringing attention to their needs and supporting them in every way possible. The observance of this day reflects a collective commitment to improving the lives of these children and ensuring their rights are upheld.
