Itajaí Adventists launch campaign to support health professionals

#EleEstáComVocês (“He Is With You”) highlights the presence of God alongside doctors and nurses.

This week, the Itajaí Central Seventh-day Adventist Church, in the interior of Santa Catarina state, launched a campaign to honor the city's health professionals. With the hashtag #EleEstáComVocês (“He Is With You”), the project aims to support and encourage people who are on the front lines of the fight against Covid-19. Billboards in the coastal town are spreading the message, which recalls the presence of God in hospitals in the struggle for life. Images and videos also support the project on social networks.

Edson Marinho, a church member, came up with the idea. “With the arrival of the pandemic and its permanence for many months, we thought about how to evangelize and move the church without putting people at risk. Seeing that this group of health professionals is dedicating themselves to exhaustion, we thought about honoring them,” Marinho, head elder at the congregation, explained.

The initiative gained support from other members of the congregation, from the city and also from the denomination's administrative headquarters for the center/south of Estadao, the Catarinense Association. “The Itajaí district's initiative is innovative. They were concerned with honoring the workers, but also motivating even more. And the most important: the church got involved sharing on social networks ”, points out pastor Apolo Abrascio, president of the Adventist Church for the region.

To carry this message forward, share the image or video with the hashtag #EleEstáComVocês on social networks.
